With its sandy beach at low tide which is patrolled by lifeguards throughout the summer, amusement park, arcades, fish & chips shops and concessionaires selling beachwear and games,and a large green for picnics the East Beach is ideal for families and children.
Not long after crossing the boundary between Littlehampton and Rustington the coast narrows down to a strip of fields leading down to the beach. Footpaths run through this area allowing you access although a lot of the land is privately owned and there are plenty of newly developed ‘gated estates’. Still some nice beaches and scenery to appreciate though.
